    What is IMEI code

IMEI code, namely the serial number of the mobile phone. It is the abbreviation of International Mobile Equipment Identity. Like the identity card of a mobile phone, it is used to help identify the identity of a mobile phone. Each mobile phone has only one serial number, which is not the same. We usually match the serial number displayed after pressing the "* # 06 #" key on the mobile phone with the barcode on the mobile phone box and the serial number in the back of the mobile phone after removing the electric board. If the three are the same, it is more likely to be genuine goods (not excluding second-hand goods).

In addition, we can distinguish between genuine and fake goods and smuggled goods by looking at the IMEI code, which is generally composed of 15 digits. The format is as follows: 123456-78-901234-5.

123456=TYPE APPROVAL CODE, abbreviated as TAC code (equipment model approval number).

The first six digits of IMEI code are TAC code. The TAC code represents the mobile phone model. Whether Panasonic, Samsung or Motorola products are of the same model, the TAC code must be the same. You can compare several machines to try. If the TAC codes of the same model are different, there must be fakes.

78=FINAL ASSEMBLY CODE (FAC code for short).

The 7 and 8 digits of the IMEI code are FAC codes, which refer to the factory where the mobile phone was last assembled. Every factory has its special code, so it is not a code made in any country. However, we are generally used to regard the factory where the final assembly process is completed as the origin of mobile phones. Therefore, FAC code can also be considered as the code of origin of mobile phones. We can use it to identify the true and false of mobile phones and smuggled goods. Generally speaking, the assembly point of China's Zhengxing mobile phone is in China, so as long as the final assembly point is in China, it is generally Zhengxing. The IMEI78 of Panasonic mainland mobile phones manufactured in Beijing is 62. Similarly, you can also identify the final assembly point of smuggled goods by looking at this. Oushui, Hong Kong Branch and Horse Branch.

901234=SERIAL NUMBER, abbreviated as SNR code (factory serial number).

The 9-14 digits of IMEI code are SNR codes, which are the factory serial numbers of mobile phones. The factory serial number of the mobile phone is the same as that of other products. It serves the internal management of the manufacturer. Each mobile phone has a different SNR code. If two phones have the same serial number, one of them must be false.

5=SPARE NUMBER (SP code for short).

The last digit of the IMEI code is the SP code, which is the standby number of the mobile phone. It is usually zero. However, it is normal that the SP code of some mobile phones is not zero.

However, when things changed, the European Type Certification Center responsible for IMEI certification reallocated IMEI last year. The 7 - and 8-digit FAC codes of mobile phones were combined with the preceding 6-digit TAC codes. The FAC code started from 00. Therefore, no matter what model and brand, the 7 - and 8-digit numbers are 00. For example, the latest C289, Samsung V200, Siemens A55, and Sony Ericsson T618 all have 351 * * 00 IMEI on mobile phones. Therefore, when bits 7 and 8 are 00, it is not necessarily what we mean above.
