    Are 5G towers harmful?

    Are 5G towers harmful?

5G signal towers emit radiation, but the amount of radiation is very small and basically has no effect on the human body. The antennas of signal towers are mostly located at higher places. When a cell tower is in operation, the antenna emits a very narrow beam of radio waves that spreads out in a direction parallel to the ground, so the radiated frequency EMF in the area accessible to the public is very low.

Reasons why 5G signal towers are not hazardous

Radiation is a form of energy transfer. The earth itself is a large magnetic field, and electromagnetic radiation is generated by natural lightning and thunder, sunspot activity, etc., and accompanies the entire process of life generation and evolution. In daily life, radio stations, microwave ovens, induction cookers, computers, televisions and hair dryers are all sources of electromagnetic wave emission, and it can be said that electric field radiation has been an inseparable part of people's lives.

Cell phones, base stations of electromagnetic radiation energy is small, can not make the DNA chain break, belongs to the non-ionizing radiation, and X-ray, nuclear radiation and other ionizing radiation is completely different, it is mainly thermal effects.

Modern wireless communication technology adopts upstream and downstream power intelligent control technology, so the more the number of communication base stations, the better the effect of cell phone calls, while the electromagnetic radiation from cell phones and base stations will be smaller.

The radiation frequency of 5G signal tower is about 900MHz, which is basically the same as the radiation frequency of TV. Nowadays, mobile communication adopts microcellular technology, and the power of sending and receiving is very low, with an energy level of only a dozen or so milliwatts and twenty or so milliwatts, which is totally insufficient to cause radiation pollution.

The 5G signal tower construction network mostly adopts hybrid layered network, which can ensure the easy management, scalability and high reliability of the 5G network, and can meet the high-speed data transmission service of the 5G base station. In order to support flexible network architecture and adapt to different application scenarios, there are many base station equipments with different architectures and shapes in 5G wireless access network.

Radiation from communication base stations is a kind of non-ionizing radiation, which will not damage the molecular structure, and there is no evidence showing that radiation from base stations will have adverse effects on human health. It can be said that as long as the communication base stations we are currently building comply with the construction standards, they will not have harmful effects on human health.

In the 4G era, the frequency bandwidth has been greatly increased, and users feel that the speed of the Internet is faster, but the radiation standard of 4G communication base stations has not changed, and the radiation standard of 4G communication base stations is still less than 40 µW/cm2. The same applies to 5G communication base stations. The same applies to 5G base stations. Moreover, the denser the coverage of base stations, the better the reception of cell phone signals, and the less electromagnetic radiation the user receives. Therefore, with the continuous construction of 4G and 5G networks, there are more and more communication base stations with better signals and less radiation.
